DESCRIPTION (as provided by vendor)
Your next superstar!! With his adorable looks and the most natural movement ever! He is going to wow any judge!
Kobe is a very gentle horse on the ground! Not a single vice! He will stand at the float all day long and fall asleep. Great to catch, shoe, float, worm, brush, saddle etc.
He has been out to previous adult riding club and one low level competition and has been not a worry! He falls asleep. He has also seen a cross country course and straight into water.
Kobe has spent the last 2 months in heavy training with my coach. A classic dressage rider. So he has learned how to correctly hold his self carriage. And started correctly. In this time he has gone miles!! He has a understanding of counter canter, shoulder ins. Shoulder outs, Counter flexion, extended trot. And a few other basic movements. His mouth is very soft! Ridden in an eggbut snaffle.
He has been around many training showjump courses and has loved every second of it! He’s quiet keen once he locks on. He rarely even touches! He hasn’t seen jumping for the last 2 months tho but shows huge talent.
This horse has a heart of gold for his rider! He was vet checked 2 months ago before he went into heavy training. As I wasn’t spending money on him if he wasn’t sound! He passed with flying colours so I proceeded with training. (He was meant to be my long term horse) Kobe had 2 race starts and retired as he was far to slow! He retired sound and since being off the track he hasn’t had any injuries.
Kobe is a perfect horse with some correct foundations to further his education but also a blank ish canvas for somebody to do whatever they choose! He will be great in the competition area or a super trail horse!! He has been out on his own and alone with no issues!
Kobe is a very quiet horse most the time, but being still 4 he can have some small baby moments. Like he will leap into his canter for the first transition of the ride, and can do small head toss when you pull him up into the bridle and don’t reassure him. Can still jump forward if he’s given a big kick for no reason. Can be a little looky but if you let him know it’s okay he’s fine!(great in weather condition like wind rain hail! Etc) Kobe still realise on his rider for the safety and confidence he lacks in flat. If you give him that he is awesome!
Kobe has been ridden by a beginner at walk and trot and he looked after them great!! (No canter as he isn’t balanced enough to hold himself and a beginner) Even when steered into a wall. But Kobe will still need an intermediate to experience Rider to further his education and make his transition more balanced etc. and somebody with soft hands. As he is like butter in your hands and gets concerned when he’s ripped around for no reason.
Regretful sale!! This horse is so sweet and talented and was my long term horse. But due to taking on a travel role I am away for weeks at a time and can’t look after him. Wanting the best possible home for him, he will walk through firer one day for his rider once he can trust them. Put a lot of time and effort into this horse.
