Jim is a 14yo approx 15hh standardbred gelding. Jim was bred and born in NZ. He is an awesome horse to have around the farm, he is very gentle and easy for novice handlers to handle on the ground.
He is very sweet and loving! Extremely extremely quiet!
Great for the farrier (has good hardy feet), can rug/unrug in the paddock without halter, super easy to catch/lead/tie/pickup feet. Walks straight on float and travels with no issues. Has no separation anxiety when split from his mates.
Jim is broken to harness and to saddle. He has more woah than go and would rather plod along all day. Jim has mainly done trail riding but also done some arena work aswell. Jim has been desensitised around traffic and on roads, and he is fantastic! He doesn’t have an established canter yet.
Jim has mainly been ridden by beginners but also ridden by experienced riders aswell and hasn’t put a foot wrong!
Jim gets along perfectly with both mares/geldings. He is a fuss free horse!
Jim would ideally suit a confident beginner or someone just getting back into riding.
