If you’re wanting a top quality newcomer then here he is!

“Harland” was purchased with intention on getting back into eventing and having a competitive mount in the show ring. Having been a steeplechaser during racing he will jump anything he is pointed at with no fuss. He has never displayed any nasty behaviour and has never reared, bucked, bolted or kicked etc. Will stand hard tied all day, easy to S/C/F/R/C etc.

Harland is an extremely quiet ride with a beautiful soft mouth. Stands to be mounted from a mounting block, been exposed to everything you’d find on a farm including our pet pig. He is unphased by anything. Harland can get tense when too much pressure is applied under saddle (eg. asking him to collect and move from his back end when he isn’t sure what you’re asking so he will bring his head up and be a giraffe and get sweaty) although he has never ever acted on this in any way I would much rather be honest. Ridden by myself who is an extremely nervous rider and I happily ride him after time off without fuss. Spent approximately 6 weeks with KM Equestrian and he was absolutely loved there and she had nothing but nice things to say about him and she is of the opinion he will be extremely competitive in the ring. Unfortunately COVID hit before he was able to go out which is the only reason he remains unshown. He has never been “out” to an event under saddle since his retirement that I know of.

Harland is up to date with everything except his feet need doing. Currently in intermittent work, lives off the smell of an oily rag year round. He is TRUE black, he is unrugged but always looks fantastic. LOVES water, if you have a dam make sure you take his rugs off cause he will live in it!
PLEASE NOTE** He is sound to my knowledge however his joints do click until he is warmed up.

Harland is offered very regrettably and although sad to see him go he really deserves more then I can give him. I would be love to stay in contact if he sells.
