**ANDREW WILSON & CO ONLINE AUCTION May 6th-7th**
LOT NUMBER: 11
BREED: Heritage Aust Stock Horse
HEIGHT (Approx) 15h
DESCRIPTION (as provided by vendor)
If you're looking for a great all rounder, something for riding around your property, doing stock work, going on trail rides or a competive mount in sporting.. this is it!
Ash is a smart and quiet registered Heritage Australian Stock Horse Buckskin Mare (but I don't have the papers). We bought for and is ridden by our 10 year old child. You can ride her on her own or with others, bareback, double, open and shut gates off her, slide off her bum. Leave in the paddock and pull out without a problem. We've ridden her around motorbikes and barking dogs. Our daughter has done pleasure riding, jumping, chased stock, sporting (barrels, bending etc), sorting, cutting. Flying changes when bending, quick on her feet, good turns, great stop, soft mouth and good with leg aids, knows her job and does it well.
Ash has jumped up to 85cm and has done 60 - 80cm cross country with previous owners, who told us they had her in their riding school too. We have been told prior to that she was used for campdrafting, stock work, barrels and bending. Up to date with feet, drenching, teeth, tetanus, strangles.
The ONLY reason we are selling her is because we compete and attend pony club most weekends, and she can be a bugger to float on my little 2HSL. We have floated her various times without trouble, but other times has refused to load onto my small 2hsl and needs encouragement (which I don't have time for when I have little kids, no one to help me and am I time poor), floated her once on an angle load without an issue and have trucked her plenty of times, with her basically self loading onto that.
Don't let her age fool you, she doesn't act or look it. If you didn't know she was 20, you'd think she was 10. This girl has years left of competing and pleasure riding in her.
